The Process of Selling your Watch to AMPM

Once we have reviewed and received your watch, we will confirm receipt and confirm  valuation. If acceptable, we will send a cheque by return (which can be deposited directly into your bank account), or send a money transfer (bank charges apply).


If for any reason we do not agree an acceptable figure when the watch has been examined, the watch would be returned without charge by the same service.

Part Exchange

Please note: If your watch is sent in for a part exchange, when a figure to change is agreed the balance can be taken by credit card, money transfer, cash or cheque to clear.


In the case the part exchange figure of the watch sent to us is higher, a cheque or BACS transfer for the balance will be sent with the purchased watch.


Our watch will then be sent on an approval basis, if after received you are not 100% happy with your purchase for any reason simply return the watch to us for a refund of the balance, and your part exchanged watch will then be returned.

Terms and Conditions

We can only make offers on watches offered for sale, if they are items we would take in part exchange or would purchase for stock. We can give an approximate price we would offer, if accompanied by images of the actual watch with any accompanying box and documents.


This is due to a large increased in e-mail and telephone enquiries from, online auction/forum websites and speculative enquiries, where items offered are not owned, physically present or are third-party enquiries often from anonymous trade dealers to ascertain market values.


On items we do not wish to purchase for stock, we do not offer a valuation for insurance service, market value, or verification of authenticity for watches or jewellery without seeing them first hand, charges for this service apply.

  • Eligibility: Uk and Ireland residents, 18+. Legal owner of the watch. Government ID + proof of ownership required.
  • Core models only (e.g., Rolex Submariner, Datejust, Daytona, Explorer, GMT). We may exclude rare/vintage/modified/heavily damaged pieces at our discretion.
  • How the 12‑Hour Clock Starts: Clock starts when we confirm receipt of a complete submission during business hours (9:00–17:00, Mon-Fri).
  • Complete submission = model/reference, serial (may mask), condition notes, included items (box/papers), and clear photos (dial, case, lugs, bracelet, clasp, movement if available).
  • Incomplete info pauses the clock until resolved.
  • What “Firm Offer” Means
  • A written buyout price sent via WhatsApp/SMS/email, subject to in‑person inspection for authenticity and condition match.
  • Offer is not a guarantee of purchase sight‑unseen.
  • Missed Deadline Remedy (£100)
  • If we do not issue a written offer within 12 hours of clock start, we add £100 to your payout if you sell to us.
  • Conditions: the watch passes in‑person inspection; details materially match your submission; sale completed within 7 days of offer; one £100 credit per watch/person in any 30‑day period.
  • Not a standalone cash payment; applied only to a completed sale. Consignment is excluded.
  • Inspection & Payment: Local inspection by appointment only (no courier). We verify authenticity/condition. Undisclosed damage/counterfeit voids guarantee and may change the offer. Payment via instant bank transfer immediately after verification (bank speeds may vary).
  • Extensions & Exclusions (so it’s fair)Pauses: missing/unclear photos, serial unobtainable, multiple watches submitted, or non‑business hours.
  • Extensions: declared system outages, bank holidays, force majeure. We may refuse items with aftermarket parts not disclosed, reported stolen, or high‑fraud risk.
  • Offer Validity: Written offers are valid for 48 hours unless otherwise stated. Market conditions may require re‑quote after expiry.
  • Abuse & Fraud: We reserve the right to refuse service for suspected fraud, stolen goods, or repeated abuse of the guarantee.
  • How to Claim the £100: No separate claim needed. If we miss the 12‑hour window and you complete the sale within 7 days, the £100 top‑up is added automatically to your final payout. If missed, contact support within 7 days of sale with your offer ID.
  • Changes: We may update these terms at any time; the version in effect when your clock starts applies.
